Updated · Version 2026.05.27 · Draft — review with counsel before launch

1. Overview

We respect intellectual property and respond to clear notices of claimed copyright infringement in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512).

2. Filing a notice

Send a written notice to dmca@pair.directory containing:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
  • identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail to locate it (e.g. the URL);
  • your contact information (address, phone, email);
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

3. Counter-notice

If material you posted was removed and you believe in good faith it was a mistake, you may file a counter-notice with the elements specified in 17 U.S.C. §512(g).

4. Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
